OVERVIEW:

The 2023 Water & Health Conference will be held at The Friday Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, from October 23-27.

FEES AND PAYMENT:

Regular Rate (1 DAY ONLY): $275

Regular Rate (2 DAYS): $550

Student Rate (FULL WEEK): $450

Regular Rate (FULL WEEK): $750

 

If you are paying with a credit card, you can pay when you register. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. 

You must register first and pay later for all other payment types (wire transfers, cash, or check). After you register, a staff member will manually approve the registration. It could take up to 2 business days to receive your confirmation email. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:

Most banks and credit card companies use the additional 4 digits assigned by the post office to zip codes. If your company uses those 4 digits and you are not putting them into your zip code on the payment screen your payment will be rejected. If you are using those 4 digits and your card is still being rejected, please reach out to waterinstitute@unc.edu.

 

TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS AND VISA APPLICATION LETTERS:

If you need a visa letter or would like to apply for a travel scholarship, please note that you must first register for the conference. Be prepared to upload a copy of your passport bio-page (the page with your photo and personal information) and a copy of your registration confirmation. Look for this confirmation message in your email inbox after registering. If you are seeking a travel scholarship to attend the 2023 UNC Water and Health Conference in person, select cash/defer payment during the registration payment process. This will allow you to register without paying any fees upfront while waiting to hear if you have been selected for a travel scholarship.

After you register and have these documents ready, you can fill out the following forms. Please allow up to three business days for a response.

*As a reminder, independent consultants, unsponsored practitioners, or students from LMICs will be considered for travel scholarships. Please note that we are unable to cover anyone's full travel costs, but can help with conference registration or accommodations. 

 

**Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended duration of stay in the US.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

If you find that you cannot attend the conference, you must cancel no later than October 10, 2023, at 5:00 pm (GMT-4). You can cancel your registration by logging into your account through the registration site. Any cancellation received after the cancellation deadline will be charged the full registration fee.

 

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION NOTES: Please read carefully

• If you did not attend the conference in 2022, you will need to create a profile. Please only create one profile, using one email address. Once your profile is complete, you will receive an email containing a link to set your account password subject line "North Carolina Institute for Public Health New Account. If you do not receive the email, you can email us at waterinstitute@unc.edu so that we can send you a new link. 
• If you attended the conference last year, but do not remember your log-in information, you can select "Forgot Participant ID" or "Forgot Password" on the bottom-left of this page and follow the instructions on the following page. If you have any trouble doing this, you can email us at waterinstitute@unc.edu so that we can help you.
• If you have a phone number from outside the United States, please put your country code in the area code box when creating your account. See the image below for the example phone number +91 (330) 871-6657.

• If payment is not received at the time of registration, a staff member must manually approve the registration. It could take up to 2 business days to receive your confirmation email.
• The system allows for group registration; however, you will need to be prepared to pay by credit card if you are registering a group. If you wish to pay later, the registrations will have to be registered individually.
• Participants who register themselves individually cannot later be paid for using the group registration option.
